High On Life looks unapologetically hilarious, and given its developer's small, but impressive portfolio with projects like Trevor Saves the Universe, this newest entry will likely surprise and delight players when it comes to Xbox Game Pass.Uncover mysteries and fight ancient machines in the dungeons within an Eldritch monolith.ġ4th November 2019, Montpellier, France –įrench developer Flying Oak Games, composer Joonas Turner (Nuclear Throne, Downwell) and publisher Dear Villagers are proud to announce their collaboration for the upcoming free-moving rogue-lite platformer ScourgeBringer will be releasing with Xbox Game Pass. The absurdist sci-fi adventure gives each weapon a literal personality as they banter back and forth with the player, comment on the game's events, and of course behave differently in combat. The third and final title confirmed so far for Game Pass this December is a strange one - High On Life, a silly, comedic shooter from Squanch Games and Justin Roiland. Players can customize their own airship as they explore a war-ravaged continent, hoping to bring peace between the kingdoms. Next to join Xbox Game Pass is Chained Echoes, a 16-bit style JRPG that combines a world with dragons, mech suits, and magic with turn-based combat and complex systems of equipment and skills. This is a clever way to force the game's community to adapt as well, changing strategies in a sort of arms race against the game itself. If that doesn't sound too bad, Hello Neighbor 2's AI learns from player behaviors, changing over time for everybody who plays the game. Players are tasked with sneaking into the houses of their malevolent neighbors, digging up unsettling secrets, and living to tell the tale. The first to arrive is Hello Neighbor 2, a stealth-horror game and sequel to developer Nikita Kolesnikov's 2017 original. December 2022's new Game Pass additions span several genres, from JRPG to comedic action-adventure.
